<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical alkaline battery excelling in load characteristic and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by this cylindrical alkaline battery including: a positive electrode containing manganese dioxide, a silver-nickel composite oxide, a conductive assistant, and a binder, and formed of a hollow cylindrical mold body; a negative electrode containing zinc particles or zinc alloy particles; and a separator formed of a non-woven fabric; and characterized in that the positive electrode contains 0.05-2 pts. by mass of the silver-nickel composite oxide in 100 pts. by mass of manganese dioxide; and particles capable of passing through a sieve mesh of 200 mesh within the zinc particles or zinc alloy particles included in the negative electrode are not smaller than 10 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
