PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary carrier for a transmission capable of attaching a ring-like planetary carrier cover to a flange provided on a main shaft by welding, attaching a back cover to the planetary carrier cover by welding connecting portions of the back cover to the outer periphery of the planetary carrier cover, rotatably supporting pinion gears by shafts fitted in shaft holes formed in the outer peripheral portion of the planetary carrier cover and the outer peripheral portion of the back cover, and cutting and finishing an inner surface of the planetary carrier cover after welding in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The planetary carrier cover 5 fitted on the flange 4 of the main shaft 1 is shaped in such a manner that an outer surface 12 and the inner surface 8 thereof are inclined at a slight angleα°with respect to a plane vertical to the central axis.
