PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder capable of preventing the accident mixed with foreign matter such as the inclusion or the like of a finger and capable of smoothly performing shredding work without bringing about the lowering of efficiency by a safe and inexpensive constitution suppressed in a large increase in cost. SOLUTION: The shredder 1 is equipped with a charging passage 6 extending to the place of a cutter 5 from a charging port 4 of paper being a shredding target. The charging passage 6 has a curved part 7 becoming a shape advancing while curved with respect to the charging direction of the paper. By this constitution, the paper such as a document or the like can be easily passed through the charging passage 6 but the foreign matter such as the finger or the like is obstructed by the curved part 7 to be prevented from passing.
