Anthropomorphic medical robot arm (10) comprises lifting limiting devices (22, 24, 26) acting on hinges (12, 14, 16) to delimit the working region of the arm by limiting the freedom of movement of the hinges on the moving region of a human arm. The lifting limiting devices can be switched on and off. The robot arm has positioning, angle and/or torque sensors on the hinges and connecting to the lifting limiting devices or their control devices. The lifting limiting devices have brakes or drive units on or in the hinges. Independent claims are also included for the following; (1) a method for operating a robot arm; (2) a computer program product. |
