The industrial truck has a vehicle frame (1) that is provided with a frame section (2) for receiving a battery block (3) with side opening and is provided with battery door to cover the opening and is pivoted around a hinge axis arranged in an area close to the base. The hinge axis of the battery door is offset towards the bottom from lateral outer contour of the industrial truck to the vehicle longitudinal central plane. A door leaf is spaced from the hinge axis such that a free space is formed between the door leaf and an imaginary supporting surface, in which the battery block is arranged.
