The device has a processor device for producing a graphical representation having a text object that consists of multiple alphabetic characters for identification of a geographical characteristic. The processor device is arranged for transformation of the text object such that the text object has the characters whose variable dimensions and/or distances are smaller in relation to original dimensions and/or to distances of remaining characters of the text object. A mathematical functional relation between position of the characters and a character width is selected. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a text object.
