<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for paper conveying speed with a simple structure capable of avoiding jamming of conveyed paper, of resolving a delay in paper conveying timing and of achieving a configuration of a space-saving apparatus, and an image forming device therewith. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device 1A includes: a paper conveying device 7, provided with paper conveying passages 7a and paper detection sensors 7b for detecting paper P which passes through the paper conveying passages 7a, for controlling a paper conveying speed based on an output signal from the paper detection sensors 7b; and a plurality of paper feeding parts 8, 81, 82. The paper conveying speed is controlled by the control method for paper conveying speed having a step for detecting the edge of the paper P on the upstream side in a paper conveying direction from the confluence portion 7c1 of a plurality of paper conveying passages 7a and a step for controlling the speed so as to make a paper conveying speed V2 after the detection of the paper edge lower than a paper conveying speed V1 before the detection of the paper edge based on the detection signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
