<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display with excellent reliability and its manufacturing method by suppressing degradation of the organic EL element effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL display is provided with an element substrate 1, the organic EL element 2 formed on the element substrate 1 and including an organic layer 13 having a luminescent layer and a pair of electrode layers 12, 14 arranged on both sides of the organic layer 13, a capping layer 3 formed on the organic EL element 2 and formed of organic material having a lower glass transition point than organic material for forming the organic layer 13 of the organic EL element 2, and a protective layer 4 formed on the capping layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
