PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reduce processing amount without restraining a search range in performing matching.

SOLUTION: A classification part 22 classifies evaluation blocks into groups on the basis of spacings of matching. A memory control part 12 successively determines the evaluation blocks as object groups as the object of matching for each group. A memory 13 supplies pixels composing a search pixel group composed of search ranges corresponding to all pixels in the object blocks other than pixels stored in a difference absolute value part 31 among reference images. The difference absolute value part 31 outputs the pixels composing the supplied search range group and the stored pixels as all pixels composing the search pixel group, and stores the pixels composing the search pixel group of the next object block among the supplied pixels composing the search pixel group. This invention can be applied to an image processor for performing matching.
