<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately removing soiling of an optical sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A copying machine is provided with: a reflecting type photosensor 721 for detecting reflected light from an actuator; a cleaning unit 8 for removing soiling from the surface of the actuator; and a control part with a CPU 91. The CPU 91 of the control part is provided with an action control part 913 for outputting instructing information to a cleaning unit 8 to the effect of executing an action of eliminating the soiling on the surface of the actuator based on voltage value of detected voltage of the reflecting type photosensor 721. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
