<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image of low noise and high resolution even in photographing in a dark place. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 102 having a plurality of drive modes comprising a pixel addition and read mode of adding and reading the charges of a plurality of adjacent pixels and an entire pixel read mode of reading the charges corresponding to the entire pixels is driven continuously in the pixel addition and read mode and the entire pixel read mode to acquire pixel addition image data and full size image data. Flat part information for identifying a flat part and an edge part in the full size image data is extracted from the pixel addition image data and the full size image data, a noise reduction processing circuit 107f applies filtering processing to each of the flat part and the edge part in the full size image data identified on the basis of the extracted flat part information, and thus noise is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
