<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical balloon catheter with high reachability to a lesion and high certainty of expansion treatment by generalizing the entire structure. <P>SOLUTION: The medical balloon catheter comprises a proximal end tube 9, an intermediate tube 11, a distal end tube 12, a guide wire passing tube 6 and a balloon part 10. The guide wire passing tube exists from the inner side of the distal end tube to the inner side of the balloon part, a guide wire port 17 which is the proximal end side opening of the guide wire passing tube exists at the proximal section of the distal end tube, a balloon is fixed to the distal end of the distal end tube and the distal end of the guide wire passing tube, and a distal end opening is provided on the distal end of the guide wire passing tube.
