<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera which is small-sized and enables a sharp image to be obtained from even a dark subject and has low power consumption and has optical performance less degraded. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic still camera with a shake compensation function, which has a photographic lens 2, an imaging device 3a, an image recording means 4, and a release switch 10, is provided with an optical shake compensation means, a shake detection means, and a control means for controlling the optical shake compensation means on the basis of an output signal of the shake detection means, and shake compensation is performed at required minimum timings to prevent consumption of a battery, and a shake compensation angle is minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
