PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a sliding material having excellent mechanical properties, abrasion resistance, sliding properties, heat resistance and dimensional stability and greatly suppressing aggressiveness to the counter material. SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained by adding a polymer microparticle having a certain specific average particle diameter and a certain specified average aspect ratio, especially a para-type wholly aromatic polyamide polymer microparticle to a resin. Thereby, the abrasion resistance of the resin composition itself can greatly be improved and the abrasion of the counter material can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
