PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the feature of the golf swing of each golfer, especially the degree of the opening of the face surface of a golf club head in an impact state, without using a large-scale apparatus. SOLUTION: On a projection plane of viewing the golf club head of a golf club from above a horizontal plane, timings at which a plurality of measurement points set on the surface of the crown part of the golf club head along a direction roughly parallel to the face surface respectively pass through a passing reference line preset on the projection plane are respectively detected. On the basis of the information of the passing timings of the respective measurement points detected in a passing timing detection step and the moving speed information of the golf club head in the impact state, an evaluation value indicating the posture of the golf club head in the impact state is calculated and output.
