PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis strain which can surely grow even in the approximately same culture period of≤40 days as that of Pleurotus eryngii. SOLUTION: This new Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis strain which can surely grow even in a culture period of≤40 days, including Pleurotus sp. AFRL 6511(FERM P-21000), 6515(FERM P-21003), 6572(FERM P-21050) and 6575(FERM P-21051) strains, is obtained by improving Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis whose culture period is long and whose growth is unstable, into Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis whose culture period is greatly short and whose growth is sure.
