SUBSTRATE GROUP FOR DETECTING PHOSPHORYLATION-DEPHOSPHORYLATION REACTION, AND METHOD OF DETECTION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of simple and quick measurement of reactivity of protein kinase or protein phosphatase. SOLUTION: A substrate group for the protein kinase comprises at lease one artificial peptide substrate, prepared by substituting a serine residue in an amino acid sequence contained in a naturally occurring substrate for the protein kinase with a threonine residue. The means for obtaining peptide array includes a method of immobilizing the substrate group; a method for detecting a phosphorylation and/or a dephosphorylation reaction uses the peptide array and an anti-phospho-threonine antibody;a method for diagnosing diseases on the basis of activation and/or inactivation of the protein kinase and/or protein phosphatase uses the peptide array and anti-phospho-threonine antibody; and a method for screening a test substance varying the protein kinase or protein phosphatase activity uses the peptide array and anti-phospho-threonine antibody.
