<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new medicine which is high in safety, has a sufficiently strong action for inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, and is useful as an anti-inflammatory agent or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This agent for inhibiting the production of the inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α is characterized by containing guaiacol or a catechol nucleus-having amide or ester type derivative or chalcone derivative, and a highly unsaturated fatty acid such as docosahexaenoic acid, its glyceride or lower alkyl ester combinedly as active ingredients. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
