PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design data dependency management device for efficiently managing design data to be input and the version number of a design tool, in a series of operations of design of a large-scale LSI, when the LSI is divided and hierarchical design is performed or when a plurality of designers perform designing collectively. SOLUTION: Design input data 21 and design input data dependency information 22 showing its dependency are stored in an input/output data storage section 11 in association with each other. A design execution environment building section 12 generates, from the design input data dependency information 22, design data dependency information 26 showing which version of design input data 21 the design input data 21 required for design is dependent on, and builds the design execution environment 25 for holding the design data dependency information 26.
