PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat ray-highly reflecting coating material composition making stain inconspicuous, and stably maintaining the properties for reflecting heat rays, and to provide a coated article having the coated film of the composition. SOLUTION: The heat ray-highly reflecting coating material composition contains a composite metal oxide pigment containing oxides of Bi and/or Y and an oxide of Mn, a compound represented by general formula: Si(OR)<SB>4</SB>(wherein, Rs are the same or different, and each a hydrogen atom or a 1-5C alkyl group) or a partial condensate thereof, and a resin.
