PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television set with a remote control for a headboard which enables a patient lying down on the bed to adjust the direction of the screen of a comparatively large television installed on a bedside cabinet, enables even an elderly person to easily operate the television and sufficiently secures its safety because it is installed in a hospital. SOLUTION: The television set with a remote control for a bedside cabinet includes a television support device that turns the television screen vertically and horizontally by a motor according to an operation signal from the remote control receiving part of the television, and power from the motor for driving vertical movement of the television screen is transmitted to a television support device via a worm gear device. The television set includes a safety device and detects a contact load to stop a motor rotation operation when a hand or a finger is pinched by the television screen or a frame body while the television screen is turned around.
