PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the most suitable data transmission rate control to be executed for all receivers when being affected by frequency selective fading, in a radio communication system performing multicast communication of one-to-many communication form. SOLUTION: A radio communication method for performing multicast communication by a multi-carrier transmission system includes: a first step of detecting carrier waves made unavailable due to an influence of frequency selective fading, out of a plurality of carrier waves C1 to C14 in respective reception nodes 20, 30, and 40; a second step of extracting carrier waves available in all the reception nodes on the basis of the detection result of the first step; and a third step of transmitting data from a transmission node 10 to respective reception nodes by using only carrier waves available in all the reception nodes, which are extracted in the second step.
