PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of enhancing the fuel consumption performance of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises a regenerative brake unit for generating the regenerative braking power by the regenerative control of a motor, a hydraulic brake unit for generating the hydraulic braking power by feeding a working fluid from a hydraulic source, and a control unit for controlling the regenerative brake unit and the hydraulic brake unit so as to satisfy the requested braking power to be calculated according to the brake operation of a driver. When shifting the total of the regenerative braking power and the hydraulic braking power from a control state of matching the total with the requested braking power to a control state of generating the requested braking power only by the hydraulic braking power, the control unit increases the hydraulic braking power and decreases the regenerative braking power so that the total of the regenerative braking power and the hydraulic braking power exceeds the requested braking power.
