The object is to synthesize and study a novel compound having a 1,4-benzoxazin-3-one skeleton and find a pharmacological activity of the compound. Specifically provided is a compound represented by the formula [I] or a salt thereof [wherein the ring A represents a benzene ring, a thiophene ring, a thiazole ring, a furan ring or the like; R<SUB>1</SUB> and R<SUB>2</SUB> independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aromatic heterocyclic group or the like; X represents a single bond, C=C, CH<SUB>2</SUB>-O, O-CH<SUB>2</SUB>, NH-CH<SUB>2</SUB>, CH<SUB>2</SUB>-NH or the like; Y represents a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, NR<SUB>3</SUB>R<SUB>4</SUB> or the like; and R<SUB>3</SUB> and R<SUB>4</SUB> independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aromatic heterocyclic group, a non-aromatic heterocyclic group, or the like.
