To allow for a catheter to be easily visible in ultrasound pictures and t hus to allow for a position control of a catheter with relatively little eff ort, an ultrasound marking device at the distal end of a catheter is provide d in a body of a living being that can be detected by ultrasound. The cathet er comprises a lumen and the ultrasound marking device in the lumen is arran ged close to the distal end in a way, such that is can be removed via a prox imal end of the catheter. |
