SPOOL MANUFACTURING METHOD OF USING METAL INJECTION MOLDING AND SPOOL OF USE IT

A method of manufacturing a spool using metal injection molding is provided to reduce pores formed in the spool during injection molding of an article and improve wear resistance of the spool accordingly by controlling physical properties and compositions of a raw material powder and a binder that are mixed and subjected to a metal injection molding process, and a spool manufactured by the method is provided. A method of manufacturing a spool using metal injection molding comprises: a preparation step(S11) of preparing a material powder and a binder comprising polyamide; a mixing step(S12) of mixing 55 to 65 vol.% of the material powder with 45 to 35 vol.% of the binder; an injection step(S13) of injection molding the mixture into the form of a component; a degreasing step(S14) of removing the binder contained in the component; a sintering step(S15) of sintering the component that has passed through the degreasing step; a first postprocessing step(S16) of processing external dimensions of the sintered component by CNC lathe machining; a carburizing heat treatment step(S17) of heating the component in an Fe-C-N gas atmosphere to harden a surface of the component; and a polishing step(S18) of polishing an outer diameter portion of the component inserted onto a spool rod by centerless polishing.
