<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiving module capable of being equipped with a shield cover efficiently and correctly. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving module A includes a substrate 1, a light receiving element mounted on the substrate 1, a resin package 4 for covering the light receiving element, a sealed cover 5, which has an opening 5a opened in one direction and to which the resin package 4 is inserted through the opening 5a. The sealed cover 5 has two pressing plates 52, 53 for pressing the resin package 4 in different directions, each crossing to the inserting direction of x of the resin package 4.
