<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is capable of displaying a stereoscopic image or a multi-viewpoint image at a high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises an image data combining circuit for combining image data of a first image (right-eye image) R and image data of a second image (left-eye image) L to be displayed on a screen W.
