PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a liquid crystal display device, the driving device capable of preventing reduction in display quality with changes in the ambient temperature of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A thermistor unit 3 outputs a voltage corresponding to the ambient temperature of the liquid crystal display device, an A-D converter 4 outputs a signal of the A-D converted voltage to an MPU3. The MPU3 refers to a look-up table possessed by the MPU3, reads a driving voltage and a frame frequency corresponding to the temperature range to which the temperature represented by the signal belongs, and outputs a control signal instructing the driving voltage and the frame frequency to a LCD controller driver 2. The LCD controller driver 2 drives the liquid crystal display device 1 at the driving voltage and the frame frequency instructed by the control signal from the MPU5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
