PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste blast material treating method which enables a reduction in the amount of a waste blast material to be disposed of as a secondary radioactive waste or eliminating the waste blast material to be disposed of as the secondary radioactive waste and turning the waste blast material into the final waste disposal state stable from the viewpoint of oozing of a radioactive substance. SOLUTION: In the waste blast material treating method for treating the blast material after the blast material is used for decontaminating a contaminated treatment object 1 such as metals and ceramics in nuclear power facilities, a shot blast process is executed by using glass beads or glass particles 4 made of glass powder as the blast material, the glass particles 4 are collected together with radioactive contaminants removed by shot blasting after the shot blast process, and then the glass particles 4 are heated and fused by a glass solidifying unit 8 to form a glass solidified product consisting of the glass particles 4.
