PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for effectively synthesizing a (meth)acrylic ester monomer constituted from acrylic acid and a cyclohexane ring bonded thereto through an alkyl group. SOLUTION: It is possible to produce a (meth)acrylic ester represented by the formula (wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, and R<SP>3</SP>are each a methyl group or an ethyl group; and R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group) by reacting (meth)acrylic chloride with a corresponding alcohol [e.g., 2-(4-methylcyclohexyl)propan-2-ol] in the presence of a dechlorinating agent.
