PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis method for mass-producing functional nanoparticles of multiple oxide A<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>containing a plurality of elements. SOLUTION: In a synthesis method of molten salt to prepare a nano-multiple oxide represented by general formula A<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>, wherein A is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal, M is a transition metal, O is oxygen and x, y and z are integers determined by the atomic valence of each element, the method for producing the nano-multiple oxide A<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>comprises performing a drying step including any one or a plurality of steps selected from a drying by heating, vacuum-drying, air flow by drying gas, or addition of drying agent to material and salt, and then synthesizing the A<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>multiple oxide in a molten salt.
