PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an external gel preparation that has excellent sense of use and absorbency and contains indomethacin not causing syneresis in a preparation even in preservation especially in a low-temperature environment and a basic topical anesthetic such as lidocaine, etc. SOLUTION: The external gel preparation comprises indomethacin, a basic topical anesthetic, a carboxy vinyl polymer, an acid and a polyoxy 2-4C alkylene alkyl ether type or polyoxy 2-4C alkylene alkenyl ether type nonionic surfactant.
