PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding cassette allowing prevention of increases of the sizes of the paper feeding cassette itself and equipment provided with the cassette and an increase of cost, and exact display of paper residual quantity by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: This paper feeding cassette 1 is provided with a lift plate 3 mounted with paper P on an upper surface and a driving device 10 for pushing up a downstream end of the lift plate 3 to be displaced to a paper feeding position. The paper feeding cassette 1 is provided with a paper residual quantity display mechanism 20 for displaying paper residual quantity of the paper P mounted on the lift plate 3 by interlocking with an operation of the driving device 10. As a result, the lift plate 3 itself is not required to be newly provided with an engagement position with the paper residual quantity display mechanism 20, and a space for arranging the paper residual quantity display mechanism 20 is not required to be largely secured.
