PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling stock equipped with a brake block which can prevent recession wear of a tread from being generated and allowing easy visual confirmation of the wear even when stepped wear is generated on a friction material. SOLUTION: The rolling stock is equipped with a brake block for braking by pressure contacting the friction material (friction material block 11) to the tread 13a of a wheel 13. The dimension Wb in the tread width direction of a pressure contact surface 11b of the friction material is formed to be a smaller width than the tread width dimension Wt, disposed in an inclined state around the axis line of the radial direction of the wheel, and a part (outer side angle part 11e) of the pressure contact surface of the friction material is made to pressure contact to the outer end part 13c of the tread.
