The device has a pressure sensor (1) integrated in a hydraulic circuit and outputting an output signal. An analog-digital converter (2) digitalizes the output signal to temporal and amplitude-moderate resolution. A comparator differentiates the output signal to different threshold levels, where the output signal transfers the control of a sequential circuit (3). The sequential circuit is actuated by a programmable logic controller, microcomputer or field programmable gate array. The sequential circuit is provided with a display (4) for visualization of operating parameters and error messages.
