The device has a cooling system, which has a coolant, one or more coolant radiator (5,6) and a control unit for adjusting the coolant temperature. The control unit is brought in several operating positions (S,E,N) by manually operated switches (8), so that a certain coolant temperature is adjusted on the basis a selectable switching position. The control unit is designed as a characteristic diagram thermostat device (4). The control unit is directly connected with the manually operated switches.
