A method for processing information is provided to enable a service provider to offer a coupon to customers without checking a receipt of the customer by receiving receipt image data from an automatic device, authenticating validity of the receipt image data, summing up an amount of the valid receipt image data, and transmitting a coupon issuance command corresponding to the summed amount to the automatic device or transmitting checked coupons to a customer mobile terminal. An information processing server receives receipt information, which includes a payment amount, an approval number, a member shop code, and a terminal code, obtained by scanning a receipt from a kiosk(425). The server checks purchase details matched with the payment information included in the receipt information by linking with a storage medium storing the purchase details of the customer, and authenticates validity of the receipt by comparing the payment information with the purchase details(435). The server sums up the amount of the valid receipts and checks coupons corresponding to the summed amount(460). The server transmits a coupon issuance command corresponding to the summed amount to the kiosk or transmits the checked coupons to a customer mobile terminal(470). |
