A washing machine and a draining device thereof are provided to improve draining effect and to maximize water storage space in a drain pump by engaging a drain hose guiding water from a tub to the drain pump above the center of one surface of the drain pump. A draining device of a washing machine comprises a drain pump(60), and a drain hose(61). The drain pump having a protruded drain hose assembling part pumps up water. The drain hose is assembled to the drain hose assembling part. The center of the drain hose assembling part is placed above the center of the side surface of the drain pump. The drain hose is linked to the drain pump, and guides water. The drain hose is assembled above the center of the side surface of the drain pump.
