A method for preparing a phenyl (meth)acrylate compound is provided to improve production yield and to increase purity by inhibit the hydrolysis of a phenyl (meth)acrylate compound. A method for preparing a phenyl (meth)acrylate compound comprises the steps of reacting (meth)acrylic acid and a phenol-based compound by direct esterification by an acid catalyst in a reactor to prepare a phenyl (meth)acrylate compound; and circulating the reaction mixture of the reactor during the direct esterification into a charge column charged with a hydroscopic filler installed at the outside of the reactor, thereby removing the by-product moisture of the reaction mixture.
