<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste material having a good surface treatment efficiency relating to the paste material for performing a noncontact surface treatment with the interlocking of the action of a magnetic field. <P>SOLUTION: The paste material 4 includes four components of magnetic particles 41, treatment particles 42, resin particles 43, and a solvent 44. The solvent 44 is water, the resin particles 43 are made of resin materials not dissolved in the solvent, and the composition is prepared such that polyhydric alcohol such as glycerin is added as an additive for suppressing the drying and improving the stability of a dispersion state. The treatment particles are composed of magnetic materials such as Mn-Zn ferrite. When the magnetic field of a permanent magnet 20 is actuated, the magnetic particles 41 are mutually attracted to generate a magnetic cluster. The treatment particles are made of the magnetic materials, thereby the treatment particles are surely trapped by the magnetic cluster, thereby suppressing them from oozing out from a magnetic brush.
