<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxy compound from an olefin and oxygen more efficiently than ever. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the epoxy compound comprises conducting a reaction between an olefin, oxygen and hydrogen in a liquid phase in the presence of a titanosilicate selected from the group consisting of a crystalline titanosilicate having an MEL structure, an MTW structure, a BEA structure, an MWW structure or a DON structure, a mesoporous titanosilicate and a lamellar titanosilicate, a noble metal catalyst, and a quinoid compound or a dihydro-form thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
