<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of taking out fluorescent light efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises a semiconductor laser 1 and a phosphor layer 3 which receives emission of light from the semiconductor laser 1 and generates fluorescent light with different wavelength. The fluorescent light generated in the phosphor layer 3 is emitted from the same side in the phosphor layer as the incident side of the emission from the semiconductor laser 1. The semiconductor laser 1 is placed at the position which does not interrupt outgoing of the fluorescent light from the phosphor layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
