SPEED-CHANGE CONTROLLER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent complete release of a lock-up clutch of a torque converter during a speed-change action following rotation synchronization control during shifting of an automatic transmission, and requirement of time until re-engagement of the lock-up clutch from speed-change action completion.

SOLUTION: In the speed-change controller, when there is a speed-change action following the rotation synchronization control during shifting (YES in S1-S4), a lock-up clutch engagement pressure of the torque converter 3 is retained in a standby pressure being an oil pressure in a stroked state of a lock-up piston of the lock-up clutch, and in a substantially zero state of a lock-up capacity (S5).
