PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded magnet type motor with ten magnets (magnet poles of a rotor) and twelve teeth (slots), capable of reducing leakage flux and cogging torque. SOLUTION: Extending holes 8b which extend outward in a radial direction from both circumferential ends of accommodating holes 8a arranged with magnets 9 are formed in series with the accommodating holes 8a on a rotor core 8. A width angleθa between the extending holes 8b (swelling portions 8c) each other at both circumferential ends of the accommodating holes 8a is set to satisfy 0.665θb≤θa≤0.785θb or 0.94θb≤θa≤1.06θb, whereθb is a width angle between the both ends inward in the radial direction of the teeth 4.
