PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Western-style toilet bowl with a double-folding cover which can be easily opened/closed. SOLUTION: When a user holds a handle 14 and raises the toilet cover 6 to move it rearward, the toilet cover is chevron-shaped with the connection part of a front half body 8 and a rear half body 9 of the toilet cover 6 as the apex. With the toilet cover in this state, the front edge 8a of the front half body 8 slides on the upper surface of a toilet seat 2 approximately in the point-contact state. Since a stopper pin 16 is engaged with a recess 15 in the rear half body 9, the rear half body 9 moves rearward while retaining the posture parallel to an oscillation arm 10. If the user further moves the toilet cover to the end while holding the handle 14, the toilet cover 6 is erected by itself as indicated in Fig. 7 with the front half body 8 and the rear half body 9 double-folded.
