PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning implement capable of smoothly moving and rubbing on the surface of a window screen without requiring large force for cleaning the dirt on the surface of the window screen etc. SOLUTION: The one-way rotating roller type cleaning implement is composed of a flexible and water-retaining cushion member attached to a curved surface of a roller, a screen surface cleaning member attached to the outer surface of the cushion member, and a one-way rotation controlling member, etc. When a user, holding a handle of a grip part, rolls the cleaning implement toward the roller, a washing liquid included in the cushion can be applied to a surface to be cleaned via the cleaning member. Next, when the user moves the cleaning implement in the direction of drawing the handle, the cleaning implement moves (rubs) with the roller stopped by the one-way rotation controlling member. As the cleaning surface of the roller and the surface to be cleaned are brought into contact with each other in a straight line, the contact force becomes larger as the contact area becomes smaller.
