<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive electric power steering device capable of suppressing noise. <P>SOLUTION: This electric power steering device 1 has a parallel axis gear mechanism 19a for decelerating output rotation of an electric motor 18 for assisting steering. The parallel axis gear mechanism 19a includes an idle gear 26 rotatably supported via a rolling bearing 39 on an outer peripheral face 37d of an intermediate shaft 37 supported by a rack housing 15. The idle gear 26 has an annular synthetic resin member 43 integrally rotatably fixed to an intermediate part 44e of an outer peripheral face 44a of an outer ring 44 of the bearing 39. On the outer peripheral face 44a of the outer ring 44, a projection 53 (or a groove 54) extended to the circumferential direction as a raised part for regulating relative rotation with the synthetic resin member 43 is provided.
