<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify NOx and SOx in automobile exhaust gas in a below-grade road to emit the exhaust gas into the atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: This road structure with an exhaust gas purifying function brings automobile exhaust gas exhausted above the below-grade road 2, into contact with activated carbon fiber to adsorb, eliminate and purify pollutant such as NOx and SOx in the exhaust gas. An exhaust gas purifying part 4 formed of an activated carbon fiber assembly arranged crossing a ventilating passage 21 is laid on cross beam members 22 arranged in parallel in the ventilating passage 21 provided in an upper opening.
