PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect the disposition of a medium guide part moving to a first position and a second position, and a position on the second position and the mid-way by one detector. SOLUTION: The position detecting means 940 of a medium guide elevator (200) comprises one detector (230) switchable to an ON and an OFF, a controller 900, a first engaging unit (543) engaged with the detector (230) at the first position to be switchable to ON, and a second engaging unit (544) engaged with the detector (230) at the second position to be switched to the ON. The controller 900 is characterized to constitute to detect that the detector (230) is switched from the OFF to the ON and to judge the rotating direction of the motor (901) at the detected time to judge the position of the medium guide part (500).
